After the successful 1999 event in Taormina, this year, the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Catania has got the pleasure to organize the Hungarian, Austrian, Czech, Greek, Italian, Polish, Slovak and Slovenian VII Joint Meeting on Medicinal Chemistry that will take place here in Catania on next June 30th – July 2nd 2011.

For years this event has been always representing a very important opportunity for international scientists to discuss about the state of art of research on Medicinal Chemistry and to share also their experience establishing and enhancing, at the same time, the existing collaboration in the field of Phd Doctorate.

The importance of this event, for us, gains in importance because our Faculty is also celebrating the 75thyear of its foundation. For these reasons and more, we heartily welcome you numerous here in Catania.

Catania is one of the biggest cities in Sicily. Its strategic geographical position confers to the city a very peculiar aspect, offering to its visitors and inhabitants the privilege to be delighted by different and fascinating landscapes and resources concentrated in one single site. Catania is situated on the slopes of Mount Etna (the highest Volcano in Europe), facing the Ionian Sea between Taormina and Siracusa, in the heart of Magna Grecia. The congress will take place during midsummer time in the old "Monastero dei Benedettini" (Benedictine Monastery), seat of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Catania.

Do not miss this unique opportunity to participate to the JMMC 2011 Congress while enjoying the fantastic Mediterranean naturalistic beauties with colleagues and friends.
